Our client is a small multidiscipline environmental company that specialises in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Planning, Arboriculture, Biodiversity Net Gain, Ecology, and GIS. They work across a multitude of industries including Asset Management, Commercial, Ecclesiastical, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Industrial, Infrastructure, Leisure, Residential, Retail.
Working with a small team of Arb professionals (3), they are looking to grow the team and so are looking for experienced Arboricultural Consultants/Surveyors in the Northwest, the office being in Manchester.
We are looking for experienced Arboricultural Surveyors at all levels to join our team to deliver Health and Safety tree inspections for public and private sector clients.
The successful candidate(s) will undertake tree inspections and assist with tree related risk management of public and/or privately owned tree stock utilising handheld ArcGIS Pro and CAD technology.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake tree inspections of public and privately owned tree stock utilising handheld ArcGIS Pro and CAD technology
- Identify tree works
- Respond to client queries and maintain strong relationships
- Deliver high standards and work practices to comply with British Standards and relevant legislation
- Complete and observe risk assessments and working methodologies with regards to Health and Safety
Essential Requirements
- Experience of working in an Arboricultural environment and undertaking tree inspections and risk assessments
- Formal Arboricultural qualification or equivalent experience and be prepared to undertake a relevant Arboricultural course/qualification
- Experience of liaising clients and attending meetings
- Computer and IT literate with experience in using handheld technology software, Microsoft Office and Excel
- Willingness to work at any location on a semi-permanent basis with time in the office as and when required
- A valid UK driving licence
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and liaise at all levels with colleagues, clients and local authority officers
Desirable requirements
- CAD experience
- GIS proficient
- Understanding of Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), legislation and knowledge of the planning system
